Am I the only one who can’t believe it’s Christmas already??
And that a new year is only 9 days away??
Where did all that time go and why didn’t I get as much accomplished as I wanted to or thought I would?
And how come there are still times when I feel stuck and have difficulty making the choices and changes that would make my life better?
I’m grateful that I’m in excellent health.
I’m grateful that I have so many clients I genuinely like and care about.
I’m grateful to have colleagues who are so helpful and supportive.
I’m grateful to have so many fun and interesting friends.
I’m grateful to have a really nice family, and that we all genuinely like each other and get along so well.
I’m grateful to have so many people in my life, a few of whom I’d never even met before, who have been incredibly kind to me for no other reason than it felt good to them to do it.
What about you?
I’m guessing that most of you can relate to the regrets and hope that you also have a list of things that are meaningful to you that you’re grateful for.
My New Year’s resolution is to pay more attention to the regrets and be more conscious about doing something about them so they don’t bother me as much next December.
And to be sure the people I have so much gratitude for know how much they mean to me and contribute to my life. Even though I think they know how much I appreciate them, I think I could do a better job of expressing it more frequently.
What are some of your New Year’s resolutions?
When you look at your gratitude list, are the majority of things on there things you paid for or are they relationships and experiences you’ve taken the time to build and nurture?
Everyone always wants to have more money – including me. However, please make sure your pursuit of money doesn’t come at the expense of those people and things that money can’t buy.
If you’re looking for a meaningful New Year’s resolution, that might be a good place to start.
May you have a very Merry Christmas, Happy
Hanukkah, Joyous Holiday Season (your choice!)
and a fun and memorable New Year’s with friends
and family who love and care about you.
With warmest wishes for your happiness, success and prosperity,
